Damla Arslan was born in Istanbul in 1984. She graduated from the History Department.
In 2006, she participated in the Anatolian Civilizations program at Boğaziçi University.
Between 2006 and 2008, she studied Cultural Heritage Management at Koç University. Her area of expertise is the ancient history of Anatolia and has also worked as an archaeologist at various sites.
She has been conducting excavations nationwide since 2005. Her latest excavation is in southeastern Batman.
She is working on an Upper Mesopotamian mound called Gre Amer, located on the banks of the Tigris in Anatolia, during the summer season. She has received a professional tour guide certificate from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
She has been working as a freelance tour guide throughout Türkiye since 2009.
